The art projects of love and sharing with Kroo Jay-da
This Project has been conducted since 2002 by Jay-day Rodnit who is a female artist from Phuket. She arranged an art exhibition at Sapanhin Public Library, Phuket, Thailand for a month. Jay-day had tried to perform her art works to decrease her feeling of loneliness there, but several children observed her performance while she worked. The children asked her to teach drawing by 7 people which exceeded to 58 people. On the last day of the exhibition, the children were a factor which brought back painful feelings of her childhood. Her guardian, who was always drunk, attacked her because he needed to have some cigarettes but she could not get any money from her mother to buy some for him. She had found pain and hopelessness from a little boy and her cruel experiences when she was young. She continued to teach the children with her own budget and with support from her beloved husband. They found that providing opportunities was better than buying a huge house and a big car, among the blaming of people that the children or defective children as well as the electric machine which was already fixed but could not be brought back to use again. Several people asked her to stop the activities until she was rich, but Jay-day told them that “ Can you make a promise with me, I can be a rich artist or I will get a lot of money. So, if you can not make a promise, I will continue my project because the children cannot wait for that as well”
